The Founder

A seasoned health tech and med device executive with over fifteen years of experience driving strategy, innovation, and performance across global markets.

Yuri Haverman founded Areteos Group to bring genuine operating depth directly to the private equity firms, strategics, and portfolio companies that need it most. His career spans the full spectrum of healthcare — from clinical science through commercial execution — across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Most recently, Yuri served as Vice President and General Manager at Becton Dickinson (BD), one of the world's leading medical technology companies, where he led a large global business spanning infusion preparation and delivery — encompassing instruments, software, and consumables. He held full commercial and operational accountability across North and South America, EMEA, and China. During his tenure, he delivered consistent profitable growth, led successful multi-market product launches, and drove significant improvement in business profitability through a combination of commercial discipline and operational redesign.

Before that general management role, Yuri built deep expertise in strategy, business development, and innovation through his work in BD's Strategic Innovation group, as well as in start-ups and PE/VC environments. He has experience in strategy articulation and deployment at the enterprise and business unit level, product and portfolio lifecycle management, post-merger integration, and the design and launch of new business models. A trained BioDesign Fellow, he brings structured innovation methodology and deep customer insights to the evaluation of novel care delivery approaches, digital health applications, and medical technology development.

Yuri holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, a BioDesign Fellowship from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Medicine from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is fluent in English, Hebrew, and Russian, and conversational in French. He splits his time between the United States and Switzerland, with active networks across the European, British, and North American healthcare markets.
